1361 King Edward III, transitional treaty period hammered gold Half Noble (S 1500, North 1223). Obverse: crowned king stands in a masted ship at sea holding a sword and a shield, 'EDWARDVS DEI G REX ANGL D HY' around. Reverse: ornate cross, terminating in lis with a small 'Є' in the centre and crowned lions in the angles, surrounded by a double tressure of eight arcs with trefoils in the angles and Cross 3 () mint mark. Weight: 3.7g. Diameter: 26mm. Grade: VF - near full flan, evidence of rusted dies, Very Fine details.
