P.O.W. USAGE OF THE TYPE 3a CARD EX "[SANDAKAN] P.O.W. CAMP, BORNEO" TO G.B.; [14/15 Sept. 1943] usage of the red card (central vertical crease & some edge wear) from British "F/Sgt. A. Potter" to Totnes with Japanese and British red censor marks (the former printed; no gap at bottom right of frame, i.e. Type 3a) on the front; the writer is known to have been in Sandakan Camp at this time. Only 4 Type 3a cards from Sandakan POWs are recorded by Tett (including this example - which is accidentally listed as type 4a) . Exhibition Quality.
