Crowned Tudor rose dividing crowned h and crowned R, POSVI: DEVM: ADIVTORIVM: MEVM:, 7.88gm. (N 1841; S 2364). Extremely Fine and as usual, not strongly struck, however the king’s portrait is particularly good in that his eyes and nose are very discernible. Very attractively and evenly patinated and struck on a large flan. Very rare in this outstanding quality and one of the better pieces ever to have come onto the market Ex.
