1901 ½d - 1/- Imperforate plate proof lower right corner blocks of four on ungummed watermarked paper, the ½d - 2½d, 6d and 1/- blocks each with a manuscript or handstamped date (17 Sep - 29 Sep 1901), the ½d, 1d, 2d and 6d blocks each initialled in the corner, the ½d block a little soiled. From the De La Rue Imprimatur sheet of thirty, now the only remaining blocks, the remainder of the sheets having been divided into singles and pairs. A unique dated set of blocks (the 2/6, issued four years later, not existing in this form), undoubtedly one of the most important items of British New Guinea philately. (7 Blocks). Photo on Page 152.
