WILLIAM THEED THE YOUNGER (1804-1891) A WHITE MARBLE PORTRAIT BUST OF A LADY DATED 1844 Signed to reverse W THEED FECIT ROMA 1844 approximately 52cm high, 45cm wide The records show only one portrait bust exhibited by Theed in this year - Lady Elizabeth Culling Smith. Working in Rome he did a lot of private patronage work and it could be that this was someone on the Grand Tour in Rome.
