A 19th century swordstick, slender blade 27½”, SE fullered centre section, DE towards point, etched on one side in fuller “Defence not Defiance” and on the other “Peace with Honour”, scrolls at forte, in polished knopped darkwood haft with iron and brass ferrule, small scroll engraved silver coloured band and iron release stud at base of top, with right angled horn grip, 36” overall. GC with a good patina. Plate 10
