Superb mint and used collection of Mauritius ranging QV - QEII in 9 Prinz albums with wonderful range of classics incl 1848 1d red 'Post Paid' (3, 1 with cert), 2d blue (2, 1 o.g.), 1859 Lapirot 2d blue (7), piece with uncut 2d blue vert pair, Sherwin 2d blue, Dardenne 1d red with cert, 2d blue (6, 1 expertised by Richter on reverse), good range of 1860s editions onwards (mainly mid - low vals) with vast coln of pmks incl B64 Seychelles, B65 Rodriguez Island and range of other barred, circular and numerical cancels, excellent KGVI study with range of varieties incl wmks, sliced s' and other printing differences with much duplication, and fascinating range of forgeries/reproductions/facsimiles housed in 3 albums incl covers, sheets and singles with noted Oneglia and Sperati forgeries and lovely SG card advertising their purchase of the 1847 1d and 2d 'Post Office' stamps for £680 - 'the highest price ever payed for two stamps' in 1893! A wonderful well organised range that warrants careful inspection and would serve as the jewel in any philatelists collection. (2B)
