1880 (July 5) Long cover headed "O.H.M.S" and addressed "To His Honor Colonel Gordon C.R.E, Acting Governor, Mount Langton", franked 1d cancelled by overinked "BERMUDA / R.O / 17" duplex with a second fine strike in the lower left corner, Hamilton backstamp. The enclosed letter from T.M Trott, former R.O Keeper at Harrington Sound and father to the current R.O Keeper, concerns damage to a cherry tree. Very scarce, few examples of this "17" duplex of Harrington Sound recorded. Ex. Ludington.
