A Thai bronze figure of the seated Buddha: probably mid-20th century, mid-brown patination; the ascetic figure representing the fasting Buddha in dhyanasana, wearing a thin, long Dhoti and his hair with bun-shaped Ushnisa; his emaciated body showing his bones, ribcage and veins starkly; on a plain six-sided pedestal. (20.7 cm high).
* Condition: Some wear to patination to edges and high points of casting from handling. A few small casting flaws around lower edge of base. The underside of the base filled with a brick-type material. No other faults - no losses from casting, no restoration visible.
