JOHN ALVEY TURNER, LONDON, MID NINETEENTH CENTURY ROSEWOOD UPRIGHT PIANOFORTE, the hinged oblong top above a pleated pink silk panel and carved scrolls to the corners, set over a fall, enclosing a pair of pierced, adjustable candle holders and music stand, raised on heavy turned and tapering panelled front supports with brass castors, 58 ½” (148.6cm) high, 51 ½” x 21 ¼” (131cm x 54cm) C/R- one candle holder replaced the other with splits, front left corner and top of right leg faded, usual minor knocks, dents and scratches, mechanism not tested but in need of attention
