A SMALL SILVER COMPACT by Stockwell & Co., London import mark 1929, of shallow circular form, the cover painted in coloured enamels with an aracadian shepherdess reading beneath a tree, with mirrored interior and white guilloche enamel base, 2 1/4" diameter, together with a set of twelve enamelled gilt metal art deco Crinoline Lady place card holders, 1 1/4" high (13) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Compact very good, the inner rim holding the mirror is hallmarked, one minute scratch to side near thumbpiece and a small piece without enamel but not damaged near hinge. The majority of the ladies do have losses and one lacks base plate but does still stand (one base detached as well).
