A 1796 pattern Infantry officer's sword, blade 32" etched with Royal Arms, crowned "GR" cypher, standing officer with sword, "Osborn's" and "Warranted" in scrolls, etc; gilt brass hilt with folding guard, urn pommel, simulated silver wire bound grip, and remains of knot. GC, dark patina to blade, gilt in the etching but no trace of blueing, the hilt extremely well re-gilt. £200-300
