A set of four Persian Qajar moulded pottery faience glazed tiles - 19th century, each depicting a young nobleman on horseback, reaching up with an offering to the simurgh flying above, flowers at the horse's feet and small buildings distant, on a blue ground, below an upper border with central flower and interlaced arabesques, 33.5 x 25.5 cm, each mounted in a modern wooden frame, some damages and repairs.
* Condition: All the tiles have some glaze crazing. One tile has a filled section to losses to the upper left corner. The eyes of the figures and horses on this tile have been removed later. The fourth tile has some glaze chips to the upper corners and some brown stained discolouration to the glaze crazing.
