19THC MEISSEN FIGURE OF A HORSE & RIDER. A 19thc group after an original design by Johann Joachim Kaendler, the figure seated on a rearing horse and on an oval shaped base with encrusted flowers. Marked to the base with Meissen Crossed Swords mark in underglaze blue, and incised 1133. Some damages and restoration, 26cms high. *CR Horse, part of one leg missing and the other restored, ears chipped and restored, bridle chipped and restored.
Figure, arm broken and restored, hand restored around bridle and other hand chipped.
