An extraordinary and eccentric sculptural piece titled 'Macha' and signed 'P.W.' to reverse. The name Macha has significance, particularly in Irish mythology. Macha is a prominent goddess associated with war, sovereignty, fertility, and horses. She appears in various myths, often linked to themes of endurance, power, and transformation. One well known story involves her being forced to race against the kings horses while pregnant, leading to a curse upon the men of Ulster. One foot missing though overall is a fascinating piece, it certainly draws attention and is a very good talking point.
