US 8 Day Aircraft Clock Mechanical Type A-13A, Specification Mil-C-6499 Ser No 06689, Part No 22322-S-ET-12 made by Waltham Watch Co, case is 6cm square and 4cm deep, manufactured in dust and moisture-proof aluminum and finished in a satin black colour, 8-day, 20 jewel keyless self starting movement, Black dial with luminous numerals and hands, outer ring marked in increments from 5 - 60 for the one-hour elapsed time feature. Pressing the upper right knob will start, stop and activate the flyback of second and minute hands. In good working order, generally very fine. Vendor purchased the clock 30 years ago in an antique shop in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam, where he was told it was from a Huey helicopter. (T)
