£900
A pair of Royal Worcester companion figures titled Evening Dew and Morning Dew circa 1870, each modelled as a classical maiden floating above reeds and ferns, scattering dew from their gilt detailed amphora shaped urns, their diaphanous robes trimmed with blue and pink detailing, each mounted upon a glazed inverted socle and pedestal base, impressed mark, shape numbers 2/36 and 2/35, height 40cm, restored.
AMENDED CONDITION REPORT - Figure 1 - (Evening Dew - Urn to right hand) There has been a professional restoration to the left hand - This is of the highest standard and not detectable with the eye. The repair would not need reworking. There is some slight wear visible to the gilding and some minor crazing within the folds of the gown.
Figure 2 - (Morning Dew - Urn held in both hands) - There is a small repair of the little finger of the left hand, this has slightly discoloured and could benefit from being reworked. There is some wear to the gilding on the base and also some crazing within the glaze to the folds of cloth. To the lower rear folds of the cloth there is a very faint line just visible.
