A 19th century cello or violoncello, spruce top, with maple two-piece back, sides, and neck, ebonised pegs, and later Bausch bridge, body length 74cm long, overall 122cm

Neck length: 28.5cm

The body shows extensive scratching and surface wear, including dents and scuffs, most noticeably to the lower left edge of the body. There are no obvious cracks to the body and the neck appears securely attached with no evidence of repair. The tuning pegs appear functional.
