Four late 19th/ early 20th century garments including the following; full length ivory silk dress with pin tucks, lace trim and drawstrings at neckline and under bust; an ivory silk damask fitted bodice with stays at side and front and with hook fastenings at the back; a fitted black silk jacket with sequin and beaded trim, pleated georgette cuff frills and ivory coloured lining; a man's dress waistcoat with low shawl collar in black wool with ivory coloured lining (4)
Additional notes;
Waistcoat in generally good condition, armpit to armpit width 46cm.
Long ivory silk garment- width across underarm when stretched out 56cm. Length 150cm approx. Silk fabric of main skirt is intact, there are some holes to lacework in bodice.
Ivory bodice- tiny waist 54cm. Damage noted to silk
fabric in underarm areas.
Black silk jacket- width between armpits with jacket laid flat with front sequinned edges meeting but not overlapping- 46cm. lining is starting to split from age. Damage to sleeve ruffles. 2cm tear in silk on back of jacket and a surface mark near centre back
