R.M.S. TITANIC: Extremely rare First-Class passenger list that survived the sinking in the pocket of George Brereton. He was a professional gambler, which was perhaps the reason why he was aboard Titanic, he would have been on the look-out for wealthy passengers to play against. He joined Titanic in Southampton on 10th April 1912, First-Class Ticket No. 111427. At the time Titanic struck the iceberg he was in the First-Class smoking room, quite possibly "at work" playing cards. It has been suggested he escaped Titanic in lifeboat 9. Printed over twenty pages it lists the First-Class passengers onboard. Interestingly Brereton has highlighted Charles Hays and written 'Millionaire' next to his name. These lists were given to First-Class passengers and contained all the information they would need onboard from Wireless Telegraph rates to the hire of steamer chairs and blankets. Also included is a list of Titanic's sailings for 1912. The passenger list was acquired by Ken Schultz directly from Brereton's great niece, complete with handwritten provenance and the WWII War Bonds envelope it was kept in. 7ins. x 5ins.
