French 1842 pattern bayonet with single edged fullered blade 572mm in length, maker marked and dated to spine of blade 1857 along with pattern date of 1842. Brass hilt. Working release catch. Overall length 697mm. No scabbard.
Slight nicks to edge of blade. Crossguard rust pitted.
