With a further watercolour sketch on paper:
No 19: "The Bridge and River Which Divide The City Of Caubel", which was possibly originally intended for inclusion in "Sketches in Afghaunistan", but does not appear in the published edition,

PROVENANCE: John Mathieson & Co., thence by descent. In 1981 the India Office Library And Records of the Foreign And Commonwealth Office indicated that numbers 1, 4, and 23 were part of the original set of twenty four watercolours from which lithographs were made by L. and C. Haghe for Atkinson's "Sketches in Afghaunistan", sixteen of which were presented to the India Office Library by the artist's son in 1910.
