Napoleonic War Period British 1796 Heavy Cavalry Officer’s Dress Sword.
A good example with double edged 32 inch straight flat blade. The hilt with fixed gilt shell guard and single bar guard terminating with a ball finial. The grip overlaid with silvered ribbed sheet. Housed in original polished steel scabbard fitted with two loose rings. Overall GC. Blade possibly repolished.
