SPANISH PRISONER IN "FORT DE LA PETITE-PIERRE" (ALSACE) - LETTER TO STRASBOURG; Very fine 8 Dec. 1809 EL endorsed "P[rison]ier de G[uer]re Espagnole" on the front with v. fine "P.52.P/PHALSBOURG" mark and prepaid "5" (decimes; on reverse) from "Tomas de Ben" (Lieutenant of the Asturian Regiment of the Spanish Army) in the Military Prison "Fort de la petite pierre" to a French Commander in Strasbourg asking that the writer's son should be allowed to attend school there.
