A peridot and diamond brooch, circa 1900 Composed of a step-cut peridot within a foliate border of circular- and rose-cut diamonds, suspending a similar drop pendant set with an inverted shield-shaped peridot from an articulated line of rose-cut diamond links, mounted in gold, length 5.5cm
Overall in good, original condition. Top peridot measuring approximately 13.7 x 13.5 x 8.4mm, typical well-saturated yellowish-green, nicely proportioned cut and good clarity, some minor wear, one small surface-reaching feather perpendicular to table - not obvious. Pendant peridot well-matched. Diamonds bright and lively, largest five stones totalling approximately 0.70-0.90 carats. Some minor discoloration to mount, nothing major. Overall a highly attractive jewel in good, original condition. Gross weight 10 grams.
