A 19th century Victorian mourning memento mori braided hairwork locket bracelet. The rolled gold locket having a partially glazed swivel compartment, within a chase decorated mount, having crossover motifs to etched findings. The hairwork consisting of nine braided and plaited strands of hair. The daguerreotype photograph depicting a woman wearing a black bonnet. Measures approx 28cm. Locket head approx 6cm.
