British Victorian Sutlej Medal with Sobraon Clasp to 3919 Gunner Richard Riley Atkins RA who was Court Marshalled on 6th October 1847 and was sentenced to be shot to death by Musketry for striking with a clenched fist Assistant Surgeon Robert Welbank Macaulay of 2nd Brigade Horse Artillery on 26th September 1847. The medal is mounted in a frame along with a copy of General Orders proclaiming his death sentence.
