A George III mahogany and fruitwood straight front chest of drawers - of small proportions, the cross banded top with boxwood and ebony stringing, over four long drawers with oak linings and later pierced brasses, raised on shaped bracket feet. (LWH 76 x 45 x 83 cm)
* Condition: Some fading to front right of top and to upper half of the front of the chest. Chip to cross banding at back right of top and some losses from boxwood & ebony stringing to top. Original locks and escutcheons, later handles. Repair to lining of the top drawer with a piece replaced to centre. The boxwood & ebony stringing is lifting a little to the right hand side of two drawers, and there are losses to the same drawers to the stringing on the left side.
