Victorian silver gilt christening set of royal interest, by Chawner & Co, London 1856/57, comprising dessert spoon and fork and knife, decorated in the Canova pattern (decoration being based on Canova's Hebe, Sappho and the Dancing Girl reposing), all with engraved presentation inscription 'VMB from Victoria Pcss Royal Pcss Fredk Wm of Prussia, 3 July 1860', in fitted case for R&S Garrard & Co, with handwritten note 'Christening Present given to Victor Myddelton Biddulph by his Godmother, the Crown Princess of Prussia (later the Empress Frederick)'
