Ann Collier: A unique handmade lace fan leaf created by Ann Collier, 20th century, the vibrant leaf worked in bobbin lace with bold red poppies, the central blooms defined with applied gunmetal beads and the addition of a button, the flower to either side worked so as to present the bottom petal in relief, as in the Belgian Point de Rose style, mounted on wood sticks stained black and slightly serpentine, guard approx. 24cm
