Oil on original canvas showing some small knocks and dents and a more extensive split across the bottom, stretcher marks showing and rubbing to the paint particularly across the top and down the left hand side, losses where the crack is at the base and possibly cut down from a slightly larger work, housed in a very tatty but probably original gilt gesso frame.
