£240
A Victorian silver mug by H J Lias & Son, London 1857, of faceted cylindrical form with leaf-capped handle on four scrolling feet, decorative panels to exterior depicting farm workers and flowers, 11.2cm high, weight 6.20ozt
Overall condition is good. There are no inscriptions, but there are numbers with have been scratched into the base (please see photos). The cup does appear to sit flat on a level surface, however weight does shift from one foot to the other when pushed down on either side. When viewed from the base, one of the mouldings is bent in slightly. There are some small dents to the surface, concentrated around the rim and engraved panels. When viewed from above, the rim does appear to be very slightly misshapen. Handle is secure and in good order. General scratching, wear and tear only. Hallmarks are clear, though there is wear to the maker's mark.
