A Welsh Nantgarw porcelain bowl, 19th century, the well with central rose spray, gilt and rose frieze to the outer border, shaped rim, impressed 'Nantgarw' to base, 25.5cm, with a conforming plate, 24cm (2) (at fault)
Both pieces show the odd firing pit and frit, surface wear throughout and rubbing to the gilt highlights (extensive on the rims). The bowl rings clear when pinged and shows no obvious chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. The plate shows no obvious chips or cracks, but shows fine surface crazing throughout, and rings flat when pinged.
