A Chinese porcelain famille verte shallow bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), the circular bowl centrally decorated with fruiting and blossoming branches with birds in flight, the cavetto decorated with eight oval panels enclosing further flora and fauna, the rim similarly decorated with eight further vignettes of chrysanthemum sprays, the underside decorated with two concentric circle marks enclosing a square seal mark, 34.5cm diameter (at fault)
Extensively cracked and glued, running from the rim through the centre of the bowl (previously rivet repaired). Multiple chips and dirtied nibbles to the rim. Surface scratching, staining and general grubbiness evident.
