Colonel Thomas William Ravenshaw, 1776 - 1842, dressed in the uniform of Berkshire Militia,scarlet coat with epaulets, inscribed to reverse with biog: Colonel Ravenshaw was a steward at one of the earliest horse races at Yarmouth Race Course,11th Aug 1810, The Berkshire Regiment was quartered in Yarmouth at the time and they matched their horses against each other for their own amusement, in a carved gilt frame.
