Local interest: A rare 18th century copper Staplehurst halfpenny token and three other Georgian coins. Staplehurst halfpenny: Obverse with I.S. cypher beneath stag’s headcrest and inscribed ‘STAPLEHURST HALFPENNY 1794’; reverse depicting a Kentish horse and inscribed ‘FOR CHANGE NOT FRAUD 1794’. With the edge inscribed ‘PAYABLE BY I : SIMMONS STAPLEHURST’.
