France: Paris Gigantic Wheel and Varieties Co. Ltd., 10 shares of £1, London [1898], #C4772, signed by Alfredo Pinto Leite and George Carr Glyn, Ferris wheel and buildings in centre, naked Fortuna on winged wheel with flags of France and England at left, orange-brown, printed by Waterlow & Sons, with coupons. Built for the Paris Exposition of 1900 and was slightly larger than the London Great wheel at 300 feet diameter built in 1895 at Earl's Court. It also held 1600 passengers. The wheel was dismantled in 1920 and the carriages used for the homeless. Slightly grubby F-VF.
