An ERII Naval Officer's Dress Sword by Wilkinson, from the sinking of HMS Reward in 1976, the sword with 31" inch single-edged blade with three-quarter fuller, burnished oak-leaf decoration (with pitting due to sea water corrosion), solid brass gothic hilt with foulded anchor and hinged locking plate engraved with the name of 'P.G. Havelock R.N.' with wire-bound shagreen grip and lion's pommel, bullion knot, black leather scabbard with brass chape, middle-band and mouthpiece, kidskin-lined black leather slip case. (The vendor was serving in the Royal Navy and was on his maiden voyage aboard WWII ship HMS Reward when she sank on the River Forth in 1976 after a collision with a container ship.
