A 19th century Chinese porcelain stick/umbrella stand; the body painted with two main vertical rectangular panels, one depicting fighting warriors on horseback and the other with a seated high ranking official and various attendants etc. before him, the yellow and light mauve-coloured diaper border interspersed with four panels containing Buddhistic emblems, the main body with further panels depicting a young boy's flowers and various butterflies etc., with vertical multi-coloured striped base in loose lappet-style, unglazed circular foot (59cm high)
