A MATCHED PAIR OF STEVENSON & HANCOCK DERBY PORCELAIN CABINET CUPS, c.1920's, each of flared cylindrical form with swan neck handles and raised upon four paw feet, one painted by WE Mosley with two vignettes of fruit and flowers, initalled, the other with similar decoration, unsigned, inscribed mark in burnt orange and with Larcombe and Paget cipher, 3 1/4" high (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Mosely example initialled beside pear, one handle has been broken off and glued with superglue, there is heavy crazing around all the feet and other handle terminals where the glaze is very thick. Unsigned example has much sparser gilding and one foot reglued and one completely restored. Both have hairlines to rims. Interesting shapes, decoration and marks, though both rather tired.
