Clarice Cliff - Inspiration Flame Lily - A Twin handled Lotus jug circa 1930, hand painted with stylised water lilies and foliage in turquoise over a mottled purple and turquoise Inspiration ground with high fired flame effect glaze to the base, hand painted INSPIRATION and Bizarre mark, height 29cm, S/D.
The base of the vase has been broken from the impact of something being dropped inside it. It has resulted in various breaks which have been reguled in place. The repair is a simple blue repair rather than restoration and is visible.
