Medals (2) of Lieutenant Simon James Jones of the South Lancashire Regiment. British War Medal 1914-1920, and Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918. Sold with a B/W portrait photograph, a photograph of his grave marker, a South Lancashire Regiment cap badge and an enamel sweetheart broach. Commissioned as a Temporary 2nd Lieutenant on 18th September 1915. Appointed Temporary Lieutenant 8th February 1916. Served with the 2nd Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment. Attached to the Training Reserve from 3rd March 1917 until 4th April 1917. Died of his wounds on 5th June 1918 and was buried in Marfaux British Cemetery.
