CORFU 1551 - EARLY LETTER FROM A SHIP SENT TO THE COUNCIL OF TEN IN VENICE - Fine 3 June EL (fine seal-triangle on reverse) from Andrea Duodo ("Provveditore dell'Armata" - Commissioner of the Fleet) written "Di Galia a Corphu" (from the galley at Corfu) and clearly addressed to "Concilii Decem" (of Venice) with interesting contents advising that he will send galleys to Zante to fetch the 10,000 ducats that had been sent from Venice to buy wheat.
