A late 16th century 2 stage 10 bore barrel from an English or European matchlock musket, 39" overall (originally longer, probably nearer 50"), the octagonal breech dated "1577" and having a long tubular rearsight and integral rectangular pan. GC (part of the breech tang missing, 2 small holes drilled in the underside near the muzzle). £200-250
