A 10 bore (.75") Long Land pattern "Brown Bess" flintlock musket, by T Ketland & Co, 62" overall, barrel 46" engraved in script "Royal Welsh Rgt", the breech with Ketland proof marks and stamped with crown over "SR" over broad arrow; rounded lock with swan neck cock, the plate bearing large crown over "GR" and "T. KETLAND & CO"; darkly varnished fullstock with regulation pattern brass mounts, the butt plate tang engraved in script "Lt. Colo. Waite", the escutcheon engraved "B" over "N9", the tail of the trigger guard engraved "No.23"; with steel ramrod and single sling loop. GWO & C. A good untouched piece. £2000-3000
