WHITE STAR LINE: Superb White Star flag owned by Commodore W. E. Warwick who was serving in Cunard White Star Line when the company was dissolved. All the assets passed to the Cunard Steamship Company and the White Star flag became obsolete. The flag has been on display in the following:
25th July 2001: The flag was on display at a press conference held in the Quality Hotel, St John’s. Newfoundland. (Photograph included)
29th July 2001: The flag was taken down to the wreck site of the Titanic by Commodore Warwick in the Mir-2 submersible. (Photograph of the flag with Commodore Warwick in front of the submersible included)
2nd October 2001: Flag hoisted on the mast of Queen Elizabeth 2 when alongside in Bermuda.
24th April 2002: Flag hoisted on the mast of Queen Elizabeth 2 when entering and docking in New York.
14th April 2012: Flag hoisted on the stern mast of the M.V. Balmoral when the vessel was stopped over the wreck site of the Titanic. (Two photographs included)
The overall length of the flag is 9ft. With signed certificate of authenticity from Commodore Warwick who has owned it since it was passed to him by his father.
