A Chinese cloisonne censer and stand, late 19th century. The pierced cover surmounted by a gilt metal dog of fo, the yellow ground with all over palmettes and scrolling tendrils, lion mask mounts and ring handles on three feet, height 14.5cm, width 10cm, together with the original ebonised carved wood stand, height of stand 3.5cm. (2) 1: Brought back from Thailand in 1919-1920 by the Devon vendors uncle. Ebonised stand has one loose foot which will require glueing. Slight loss of enamel to interior of the lid beneath the attachment for the Dog of Fo. Miniscule indentations on the gilt rumble of the lid. Please view extra images.
