J Tonry (English School, early 20th century),
'Yumsie, Queen Alexandra’s favourite dog' and 'Caesar, the late King Edward’s favourite dog, confirmed by Queen Alexandra as quite correct',
Two oils on canvas,
Each signed and dated '23' for 1923 lower right,
Each 15.5cm x 10cm,

More Information

The works are framed under glass and have not been removed for inspection. Both appear to be in good condition, showing no obvious damage to the paint surface. The paint surface shows some texture, to the background, however this does not appear to be the result of a fault. Examination under UV shows no evidence of restoration. The frames are structurally sound but show evidence of overpainting.
