A sturdy, large, dark green leather covered fan box, of a size normally containing a feather fan, but having a removable tray and divisions inside, possibly for travelling, having gold initials M.D on the exterior, with “FANS 1886” also in gold, gold label in the box lid stating “A Barrett & Sons, 63 &64 Piccadilly, London W”, approx. 42.5 x 14.5 x 9.5cm
The exterior is worn with age, the catch is firm, the interior is in good order.
