A Victorian gilt helmet of The Gentlemen-at-Arms, applied foliate scrolls to front and back peaks, and to both sides at the back, acanthus top mount with white feather falling plume, large lion's head ear bosses and velvet backed graduated 4 foliate scale chinscales, gilt and silver plated Garter Star within crowned wreath of oak (left) and laurel (right), leather lining (some wear and tears), on a stand. Generally Very Good Condition, the gilt good (lower part of one back scroll missing). Plate 23
